- I have both a Motorola Power 28.8 and a USR Sportster. Neither have the
- problems you stated here.

- Windows doesn't say which port the modem is on - you have to define this.
- If you mean Windows 95 it will pick up the modem on whatever port the modem
- jumpers are set to. If you use the plug and play mode you must first make
- sure all modem references are removed in the hardware config in control
- panel before installing the modem to avoid port conflicts.

- As far as both in FAX mode, I have never had problems with either on FAX
- send or receive using Winfax PRO 4 under both Windows 3.11 and 95.

- I suggest you look elsewhere on your system for the problem source. I
- don't think the modems are at fault.
